On the afternoon of October 19th, a delegation from Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) visited KUST to discuss the“3.5+0.5+1”joint cultivation programme. The visit was to deepen international cooperation and further promote the implementation of the consensus between the two universities in the early stage. Yi Jianhong, Vice President of KUST, along with the heads and foreign affairs secretaries of relevant faculties attended the meeting.
Yi delivered a speech at the meeting and expressed his support and expectation for the programme of joint cultivation of the Master of Science in Technology and Design(MTD). The heads of the School of Science and Technology and the Division of International Cooperation detailed the background of the programme. In addition, the director of the master’s programmeof SUTD further introduced the curriculum, teaching resources, advantages and characteristics of the jointprogramme.
Subsequently, the two sides actively discussed and exchanged views on the feasibility of the joint cultivation programme. This meeting also promoted the cooperation process between the two universities.
